me and my trouble
Ever so often you do some mischief. Sometimes it bites you back. Now the magnitude of this bite decides what level of trouble you are in. Sometimes its just a tiny ant.. That microscopic scar on your hand will be sore for a while and then you forget about it. Sometimes its a bee, it stung for some days and then again you forgot!.. Then sometimes its a dog chasing you down the road with those blood thirsty teeth, and when he catches up with you,, the next thing you know you are getting one shot after another from the doctor!!..Now will you ever forget that incident??? NO!!.. Now thats deep trouble. Now believe me when i say i have an analogous incident to each of the above mentioned… And each of those happenings had a reason. A soul purpose… The peculiar thing is, the reason behind them is THE SAME!!
case 1: I was about 4 years old and my brother 5… We both loved the smell of kerosene and often wondered what it tasted like. So one morning when mum was busy cooking we gathered around the bottle of kerosene on our tricycles, u know like those agents with goggles around Neo!!!… Now we both wanted to have a taste but i stepped up first and my bro sat on his tricycle staring with those HUGE eyes (trust me they were as big as they are now)… Then i took a deep breath inhaling the heavenly smell of the then mystery liquid and started gulping down a litre after another.. Now remember my bro is still on his tricycle and staring… Eventually my mom smelt the kerosene and ran to my rescue!!.. Now this incident was like the ant biting me!! Nothing major just the doctor telling my parents “Keep this pea brained moron away from kerosene”.
case 2:I was about the same age when this next incident took place.. My mum left the kitchen to attend a phone i guess and my bro on his tricycle stormed the kitchen. Like an obedient younger brother then, and like a donkey now, i followed him into the kitchen. My bro spotted a big vessel on the stove and he stared with those gleaming eyes continuously. Unable to bear the curiosity, i reached out for it. And it was boiling milk.. This refers to the bee tragedy.. The doctor shook his head in despair.. “Does that even a pea-sized brain even exist??” he wondered…
case 3:It was the Same place, same age and the same horrifying tricycle!!… my bro was cycling downstairs and I wanted to go too… i was on a flight of stairs with my tricycle and he came at the end of the stairs and asked me to come down on the cycle!! Now i was a kid so i did’nt know physics and cycled down the stairs.. And as the analogy has prevailed,, the next thing i remembered was i was getting stitches on my forehead and guess what!! without anesthesia!! The doctor was like “yes!!! I was right there is nothing in there!!! Its like I’m operating on a coconut!!!”.
You definitely would have guessed the similarity in these incidents.. It was my brother!!! and obviously the tricycle.. My childhood was haunted by memories of my bro on his tricycle and his “bigger-than-my-brain” eyes, staring into emptiness!! Sounds funny.. But its something that completed my childhood and except for the days these accidents happened,, i laugh to myself about it!! Its always good to get into trouble.. But its also important to keep in mind no one except you gets hurt!!
My dear subjects!!…
play hard but play safe!!!
